Rafting and Kayaking in the Tamakoshi river start from a bridge on the way to Jiri called Busti. The Tama Koshi River has its upper reaches high in the Tibetan Himalayas. Astonishing Rolwaling, Charang, Gopi, Andheri, Khare, Jhyaku, Jugu, Gumu, Singati, Tineku, Dholti, Maren, Milti, Khimti are some of the major tributaries of the river.

With a water volume almost double of Bhote Koshi, Tamakoshi River (Copper River) is one of the most adventurous and complex river to raft. Tamakoshi river rafting is generally referred to as rafting savvy people who have adequate acquaintance with technicalities of sturdy water. An exciting and elegant white water challenge, away from main trekking routes yet easily accessible from Kathmandu. Rafting and kayaking in this river are however considered dangerous ones. So the ultimate thrilling experience that rafting in this river provides might be pleasant to only a few numbers of rafters. This rafting spot is not recommended for beginners. However, professional rafters can test their rafting skills here if they want to.

Itenerary

If you are an international travel enthusiast or local tourist, you can catch flights from hospitable national& international airlines. You will be received from airport and dropped to your designated hotel safely in ease.

The aerial distance between Kathmandu and Dolakha District is 70 km. The road distance is 148.8 km. You can easily find cabs or public transports to get to Dolakha enjoying the scenic beauty the route has to offer.
The ride to the put in will give us perfect mountain panoramas from the Rolwaling and Khumbu area. This is a mind-blowing drive through villages and if weather permits, you will have Fantastic Mountain views i.e. Ganesh Himal, Langtang etc. You will be quickly equipped and ready for kayak. Embrace your spirit of adventure.
After an energizing breakfast a quick pack up and set out (about 9 to 10 a.m.) run white water tour again a grade 4-5 rapid starting from upper section. You have the second chance to show how you can work those challenging rapids. We have lunch on the river and continue the action until the take out point Dolalghat Bazaar about 3 to 4 p.m.
Bus/fly back to Kathmandu. Or you can choose all the others adventures like bungee jump, peak climbing, etc. that are always awaiting for your courageous soul.
Time to announce valediction to Nepal. Appreciate your ultimate moments in Kathmandu including breakfast in a café, a town stroll, or memorial shopping token of Kathmandu. An agent of our company will join you at your lodge and transport you to the airport for your return from aviation to home. It's suited to be at the airport at least two hours before departure.
